FLY FISHING FIELD DAY
Local Waters Part 2: Presented by Buchanan Hall & National Sporting Library in Partnership with Orvis®
Saturday, August 12
11 am - 2 pm
This family-friendly event is perfect for folks of all skill levels and will feature hands-on opportunities,
including free casting lessons from Orvis and fly tying and knot instruction with Trout Unlimited’s Rapidan Chapter!
Stick around for food and fellowship with other water enthusiasts!
Local ice cream, food trucks, and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Area non-profits will be tabling, sharing opportunities to explore our local waters and land that makes the Piedmont an unparalleled place to live (and fish!).
Local Waters is a two-part summer event series of fly-fishing festivities which includes the showing of IF4 at the NSLM on Sunday, July 30th and a Fly-Fishing Field Day at Buchanan Hall on Saturday, August 12th.

Tickets are available for the two events separately or as a bundle, and may be purchased online, in person at NSLM, or at the Buchanan Hall Farmer’s Market. The Buchanan Hall Fly Fishing Field Day is $10/adult, and youth are free, with all funds going to support Buchanan Hall, a 501c3 non-profit. Or, double the fun for $15/adult if you choose to bundle Buchanan Hall’s Fly Fishing Field Day & the International Fly Fishing Film Festival at the National Sporting Library and Museum on July 30 (savings of $5/person)! Every participant is entered into a raffle that will be drawn at the event.
